Communications are good with the main A43 trunk road set to the east and the A47 to the west. The nearby commercial centres of Corby and Kettering are within easy driving distance whilst the cathedral city of Peterborough is only 30 minutes away. The attractive and thriving market town of Stamford is set to the north-east and contains a rich history with a principally stone town centre. High speed train services operate from Kettering and Peterborough (the train to London taking about 50 minutes).

There are many good shoots in the area.  Sailing is available at Rutland Water and Pitsford Reservoir, with fishing at Eyebrook Reservoir and Rutland Water. A  deposit of £2000 will be required which will be returned within 14 days of the end of the tenancy subject to the cottage being left in good order.
